I grew up in Mississippi flying with my dad who grew up flying with his dad. I would bring pillows to sit on so that I could see over the instrument panel of our family plane. I always enjoyed flying with my dad as he went from a Piper Seneca, to a Piper Cheyenne, to a Cirrus SR22, to a Piper Meridian.
After graduating from Belmont University in 2014, I spent a lot of time on the road as a musician but still found time to pursue my pilot’s license. Since earning my PPL in 2017, I have enjoyed many flying adventures with my wife, who is also a pilot.
With the mindset that a good pilot is always learning, I decided that every time I had a biennial flight review coming up, I would find something else to add to my license (instrument, comercial, etc.).
Not long after I received my commercial multi-engine license, I found myself in a King Air 200 flying for an owner. It was my first taste of professional flying, and I was hooked. I immediately started making arrangements to leave my long-time job selling software to pursue flying full time. I told them I was “retiring” because working in aviation is too much fun to call it a job.
I love sharing aviation with everyone who is interested and even some who aren’t. I look forward to helping as many people as possible join this special community and to equip them with the needed tools to safely set out on their own adventures.

I joined the Harmony Air team in October 2023, that is where my aviation career began. I was in corporate accounting for 25 years before making the switch. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone and learning aviation. I’m excited for what’s to come in my aviation career.

Since I was a little girl, I have been absolutely fascinated by flying. I started working and flying at John C. Tune airport in 1998. I have watched this airport grow and evolve into the wonderful place it is now.

One of the few born and raised Nashvillians left, coming from a studio musician father and a Cracker Barrel employed mother, aviation wasn't always something I thought I would make a career in. However, when I went to college I wanted to do something that I was passionate about and could find meaning in. The answer came in the form of airplanes, and once I discovered my passion for aviation I never looked back. This new passion led me to transfer schools and I attended Middle Tennessee State University and obtained my PVT, INST, COMM, MULTI, and CFI ratings as well as my bachelors degree. That is where I fell in love with aviation. My training there gave me so many experiences and lessons that I can’t wait to share with you. I hope to see you in the skies soon! Hobbies and interests of mine vary. Ever since I was young, I was fascinated by the stories I learned in history and since then have become a bit of an armchair historian. Fishing, scuba diving, and hunting, I grew up doing with my father and have always been a pastime of mine.

I spent a large part of my life traveling the world as a musician before the opportunity for a discovery flight landed at my doorstep about ten years ago. That was all I needed to send me skyward, and I have not looked back since.

After graduating from the University of Memphis with a degree in Marketing I knew I wasn’t quite ready for a desk job much less an 8-5 job. I completed all of my training here at Harmony Air and was lucky enough to be given the chance to join the Harmony family as an instructor.

My goal as a flight instructor is to excite your interest in flying and keep it going no matter the ups and downs. The old saying that “if you love what you are doing, you’ll never work a day in your life” is true when you’re flying. I want to ensure you “never work a day in your life” by reaching your goal as an aviator.

I love the blend of science and art that is a part of every flight. A great flight is accomplished when a pilot understands how an airplane flies and artfully applies that knowledge to control the airplane to do what the pilot wants.

My love for aviation began in high school when I enrolled in a flight program because I thought it sounded cool, although I did not know what I was getting into. Today, I am a proud graduate of the Middle Tennessee State University Aerospace Department, where I earned my CFI, CFII, and MEI ratings.

My earliest memories are of wanting to be a pilot. I was introduced to flying around the age of 8 when I convinced my father to take me to the grass strip in our West Tennessee town for a flight in a PiperTri-Pacer. I then looked for every excuse to fly with the construction company my father worked for.

For as long as I can remember, my dream has been to become an airline pilot. I took my first flying lesson in May of 1971 at the age of 13 and earned my Private Pilot certificate in June of 1976.
